Metal construction

The metal construction industry refers to the entire group of manufacturing processes and techniqueswhich are used to manufacture lighter components, usually from metallic materials.

Metal construction manufacturing processes include, for example: Welding, grinding or soldering. While some processing methods are primarily applied to a variety of materials, other work steps utilise special materials.

In metal construction, an element is manufactured by joining several parts together. The advantage of this method is that it is not necessary to produce a large structure for each component; a relatively small stack of elements is sufficient and the open-die forged parts can be produced very cost-effectively as a result.

Nowadays, metal construction products can be found wherever a large number of bridges or gates are installed. For example, at sports facilities at entrances, in car parks, at the railway station or in the form of metal construction warehouses. If you look around the house, you will find ball lamps and shades, metal swivel chairs, flower stands and furniture, company logos and company signs as well as fences and railings, lattice fences, gates, gate drives, garage doors (garages), flat entrance doors (condominium doors).

In addition to attaching components to one another, metal construction also covers the entire process chain through to assembly. The work steps include cutting the materials, bending, welding and soldering.

Metal construction is one of the oldest branches of manufacturing in the metalworking industry. The work steps are generally used on a large scale and can be found almost anywhere where gates, doors or other traffic facilities are to be found.
