View services and order process

One point of contact

Coordinate the manufacturing scope, drawing queries and delivery requirements together.

Combine manufacturing processes

Request cutting, bending, joining and finishing to suit your component.

Made to your specification

Drawings, bills of materials and revision levels define the quotation and production requirements.

Contract manufacturing for parts, batches and assemblies

Whether you outsource a single operation or order a finished component, define the required delivery condition clearly. A deburred laser-cut blank, a bent enclosure and a powder-coated welded assembly require different process steps and checks.

For purchasing, engineering and production planning

Contract manufacturing can supplement your own capacity, support new component designs or cover repeat demand. We assess one-off parts, prototypes, small batches and production runs from your documentation. Economical batch sizes and available delivery dates are agreed for each project.

Typical enquiries include brackets, mounting plates, machine guards, enclosures, support brackets and welded assemblies for machinery, plant equipment and intralogistics. These are examples of potential applications; suitability is assessed for each component.

Which manufacturing operations can you order?

Laser-cut and punched parts

Flat profiles, mounting plates, hole patterns and cut-outs. Process selection depends on geometry, sheet thickness and quantity.

Bent and formed parts

Brackets, supports, covers and enclosure parts. Bend radii, flange lengths and functional dimensions are considered in the technical review.

Welded parts and sheet metal assemblies

Join individual components into a specified assembly. Welding processes, weld details, access and surface requirements are agreed for each project.

Edges and surface finishes

Deburring, edge rounding and powder coating can be included in the order. Specify visible surfaces, colour, gloss level and operating conditions.

Additional turned and milled components

Does your assembly need bushes, shafts or machined mating surfaces? Additional machined components can be included in your manufacturing enquiry.

Custom metal constructions

Frames, support structures and custom fabrications using sheet metal and other metal components. Specify the bill of materials, assembly scope and any bought-in parts early.

From drawing to delivery: the order process

1. Send your requirements and files

Specify the drawing, material, quantity and delivery condition. For assemblies, include a bill of materials. Attach PDF, DXF, DWG and STEP/STP files directly, up to 10 MB each.

2. Resolve technical questions

Clarify tolerances, bend geometry, weld details and finish together. We discuss any proposed design changes with you.

3. Agree the quotation and scope

Agree items, quantities, material sourcing, inspection scope and delivery timing. Expected annual demand helps us assess repeat parts.

4. Manufacture to the approved revision

Manufacture to the approved documentation. Clearly identify critical dimensions and visible surfaces; agree inspection reports and material documentation in advance.

5. Arrange packaging and delivery

Agree the destination, identification and packaging. Include any special protection, transport or repeat delivery requirements in your enquiry.

Contract manufacturing in steel, stainless steel and aluminium

The exact material grade matters more than a general material description. It affects cutting, bending, weldability and finishing. Specify the grade, sheet thickness and any existing coating.

Steel

For many brackets, frames, enclosures and structural components. Include corrosion protection and subsequent finishing in your enquiry specification.

Stainless steel

For components with particular surface, cleaning or corrosion-resistance requirements. Mark visible faces and any required grain direction on the drawing.

Aluminium

For lightweight covers, enclosures and other technical parts. Alloy, temper and bend radii must be considered in the manufacturing assessment.

Maximum dimensions and material thicknesses depend on the process and part geometry. Feasibility of the complete order is assessed from your drawings.

What affects the cost of sheet metal contract manufacturing?

Material and geometry

Material grade, sheet utilisation, profiles and hole patterns determine the cutting effort.

Operations and quality

Bends, welding and assembly work, finish, tolerances and agreed inspections affect the quotation.

Quantity and repeat demand

Quantity affects how setup costs are spread. Provide alternative batch sizes and potential annual demand.

Your quotation covers the defined scope of supply. Specify the requirements needed for the component to function; particularly tight tolerances or additional documentation may require extra operations.

Prepare your contract manufacturing enquiry

Complete information helps us assess feasibility, pricing and timing. Please provide:

Drawings and manufacturing scope

  • Dimensioned PDF drawing and available CAD files
  • Item number, drawing number and current revision
  • Material grade, sheet thickness and temper or condition where relevant
  • Quantity per item and potential repeat demand
  • Required operations and delivery condition

Quality and delivery

  • Functional dimensions, tolerances, thread and weld details
  • Visible surfaces, edge requirements and coating
  • For assemblies: bill of materials, component drawings and assembly scope
  • Required inspections, documentation and material certificates
  • Preferred delivery date, destination, identification and packaging

Not every detail needs to be final at the start. Describe the known requirements and identify open questions. Please agree any confidentiality requirements before uploading confidential documents.

Sheet metal contract manufacturing FAQs

Can I order only laser cutting and bending?

Yes. You can request individual operations or several consecutive processes. Tell us the condition in which you need the parts, for example deburred and bent or fully coated.

Can you supply prototypes and small batches?

You can enquire about one-off parts, prototypes, small batches and repeat production runs. Commercial feasibility depends on the design, quantity and required processes.

Which files are useful for a quotation?

A dimensioned PDF drawing identifies tolerances and manufacturing requirements. DXF or DWG files can support cutting data, while STEP/STP files describe 3D geometry. A bill of materials is useful for assemblies. The form accepts multiple files of up to 10 MB each.

Can material sourcing and finishing be included?

Material sourcing and required finishing are defined in the scope of supply. Powder coating can be requested for suitable parts. Other finishes or customer-supplied material must be agreed in advance.

How are repeat orders handled?

Repeat parts need clear item numbers, approved drawing revisions and demand information. Changes to material, design or finish must be clarified before the next order. Delivery batches and possible call-off arrangements are agreed for each project.

What lead times and inspections are available?

Both depend on the parts, quantities, material availability and process sequence. Include your preferred delivery date and required documentation in the enquiry. The agreed quotation and order define the committed scope and delivery schedule.
